SMA’s attention to detail and project management skills ensures that tech set-up for webinar series runs perfectly.
A Fortune 500 company and leading provider of integrated information technology solutions in the U.S. and Canada contracted SMA for comprehensive technology support for a series of 13 webinars, featuring the company’s technology partners along with its own in-house experts.
The overarching theme of the series was the potential of new technology and applications specific to prospects and customers in the areas of business, government and education. Each one-hour webinar focused on a different company and topic, with presenters from Apple, Blackberry, EMC, Google, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and other tech manufacturers, who presented information tailored to a particular audience, i.e. educators, corporate IT, and data management in the public sector.
For the solutions provider, managing the webinar series with the highest levels of professionalism was crucial. For technology companies in particular, the technology that supports presentations just has to run perfectly. Attendees who have committed their time have very limited patience for technology hiccups or delays, and will leave a presentation rather than wait even a moment for any problems to be corrected.
To ensure that the webinars ran flawlessly, the solutions provider turned to SMA for full technological support. With 13 webinars (and total attendance at about 400 participants), they wanted to guarantee that the webinar technology was securely in place, so they could focus on promoting the series and maximizing the webinar content.
During each webinar, the SMA team was on-hand and online, monitoring closely to make sure the webinar ran exactly as planned. Participants were muted, but submitted questions during the presentation for the presenter to respond to. After each webinar, SMA prepared and submitted detailed reports for the solutions provider, which included attendee details, length of time each stayed on the webinar, and their submitted questions. Each webinar was also available as a video recording, with the slides and audio.
“For this client, they had the ability in-house to organize the webinar content and registrations, but needed extra support with the webinar technology. They wanted to be able to hand off the technology piece, and focus on the webinar content and presenters,” says Bob Becker, Principal, SMA. “They needed to be 100% confident that the webinar technology would work, exactly as expected. Thanks to the webinar and project management skills of Jessica Caceres, SMA’s Director of Client Services, SMA is able to deliver that peace of mind, and support our clients in taking their message to as many people as possible, smoothly and professionally.”
